Burt is a cool Martian dude who is originally from the Moon. He likes the occasional cocktail and reality TV shows -  "Keeping up with the Kardashians," specifically. However, he eventually ended up on Earth after a scooter accident, where he found his true love in life: Kaspa. After mining KAS and attending Kaspa conferences, Burt's sole mission is to now represent Kaspa on Earth and the Moon and hopefully through every galaxy within every universe. 

BURT is now a KRC20 token and crypto project that has been building several Kaspa-related projects, including the BURT launchpad, which offers third-party token launches liquidity, CEX listing support, marketing and promotion, and development funding. Moreover, BURT is developing KAS ID, which aims to be Kaspa's version of ENS Domains. 

We spoke to BURT himself to understand these projects, his intergalactic mission, and what Kaspa means to him as a whole. Please see the interview below.

Project Beginnings

Ethereum and Solana have been the most popular chains for meme coin creation due to their proof-of-stake chains holding massive idle liquidity, aka TVL. What made you decide to launch a meme coin on Kaspa? 

I've personally entered many memes on SOL and have been rekt every single time. The majority are rugs, and the ones that aren't are founders/insiders pump-and-dumps. New launches are also heavily botted, making it nearly impossible to launch a successful project. I won't need ETH with the gas fees they pay. 

Kaspa projects are 100% fair launched, giving them the best opportunity to be successful. This means the founders also had to purchase their tokens like everyone else and have an incentive for the project to grow. 

I'm also massively bullish on Kaspa, and a large portion of my portfolio is KAS and KRC20. 

How did you build out your team/community? What were the first steps?

I know the DEV in real life and went to him to assist in making the project's website. After working together and talking about what we could do for the project he wanted to join the team and help make Burt one of the biggest projects in crypto.

How did you decide upon the token's use, identity, and brand? Did you design the brand yourself, or were others hired?

For me, memes are all about fun. I wanted to create a fun, loveable character with a funny backstory and enjoyable art that people would like and want to be a part of. From this, Burt was born. 

We wanted to create a unique name that was funny, short, and easy to remember. We used ChatGPT to generate a large number of names, and as soon as we saw the name 'Burt,' we knew it was the one.

Burt is a moon martian who came to earth to mine KAS and get rich on crypto. He is meant to represent the moon boy Kaspa/crypto degens like myself, who are all in on crypto. 

How did you decide upon the name BURT? Moreover, who is Burt? What does his character represent? 

Burt is not just another cat or dog meme, and he is not an AI-generated image. He is unique and differs from the majority of meme projects we see. A lot of time, thought, and effort has gone into bringing Burt to life. 

How does your project differ from other KRC20 projects?

What sets us apart is the development on Kaspa we have started and will continue to do. This starts with the Burt launchpad, a platform for new projects to launch their tokens and NFTs. We are currently developing KAS ID, a naming service for KASPA (similar to ENS domains), and other tools that are much needed in Kaspa. This is just the beginning; we want to bring everything successful to other chains and bring it to Kaspa. Burt will be the face of it all. 

Do you have any advice for others who want to start their own meme coin project or community? What needs to be done to get the word out? 

Use the Burt launchpad. It was created to help projects be successful. 

If you want to start your own project, you have to be willing to put in the work. I have worked on Burt 16 hours a day since we launched. That's what it takes to be successful.

What is your long term vision and philosophy for BURT?

I want Burt to be more than just a meme; I want Burt to be the face of Kaspa. I want everyone in crypto to know Burt, the meme coin on Kaspa.

Technical Aspects

Have you faced any technical challenges? If so, how did you overcome them?

We've had large holders hacked and lied to by exchanges; fudders are everywhere. You just can't let these things get to you. I know Burt's long-term vision, and I know where we will be in six months. These things can be frustrating, but you must look long-term; this will all be forgotten.  

What do our readers need to mint $BURT tokens? How easy is it to mint tokens?

The token mint was 100% fair launched and is completely minted out.

We are currently listed on XT Exchange, CoinEx exchange, and soon BitMart. Alternatively, you can purchase $BURT using the KSPR trading bot on Telegram. This can be confusing to new users. If you have any issues, you can message me personally, and I'll run you through it (beware of scammers).

How likely are you to recommend building on Kaspa for future teams?

KAS is my largest holding. I believe this has the potential to be a top-five crypto. We are so early that building on Kaspa now will be like being early on other chains like Solana and Ethereum. 

$BURT will be live on the Tangem wallet this November. How did this integration come about? 

The Kaspa community needs a safe place to store their tokens. I'm not sure how it happened, but I imagine a big push from the community made it happen. 

Do you have any other exchange listings you can share with our readers?

BitMart is all paid and signed for. Unfortunately, they have had issues integrating KRC20, which has delayed the listing. We have reached an agreement with Pionex Global and are raising the money for the listing currently. This will most likely be followed by a Pionex US listing. We have gained interest from many exchanges, and I'm sure BURT will be listed on them soon.  

Tokenomics

Why did you feel it was important to create your own token instead of using $KAS, for example?

I'm so bullish on Kaspa that I want to be part of the ecosystem and help it grow. A KRC20 meme coin was the perfect opportunity for that.

Could you explain the tokenomics of $BURT? How do you plan to maintain its value?

Burt is 100% fair-launched. There are no pre-mints and no team token allocation. Once our platforms are live, some will include payments in BURT tokens. Some fees paid to use these platforms will go back to the Burt project and its holders. This can vary from KAS and/or BURT airdrops to buying BURT for the community wallet, whitelisting opportunities for holders, etc. 

We will also continue creating new content daily for our X and Telegram communities. 

How did you decide upon this tokenomics structure?

I wanted it to be fair for all; a fair launch was the only option for me. 

Could you please describe your BURT launchpad initiative to our readers?

Currently, new token founders are facing an uphill battle with mints due to bots buying up a large portion of the supply and dumping it on the market, as well as the gas fees paid for transactions. Burt's launch pad will solve all these issues.  

Tokens can be purchased in one transaction, dramatically reducing the fees. Wallets will be capped at how many tokens they can buy at launch to create a fair and even holder distribution. Anti-botting measures will also be in place.  Moreover, We will also keep some of the fees paid aside for projects, such as exchange listings, for project development. Any payments to teams will be vested. Teams can speed up their vested period by KYC. 

In short, the launch pad will be fairer, cheaper, and safer, and it will provide the project with funding and marketing. 

What utility does $BURT offer?

Although our tools and platforms will encourage people to buy and hold BURT, it is important to remember that BURT is a meme coin. 

Are there any plans to integrate your token with other projects or services within the Kaspa ecosystem?

As stated earlier, many of our tools and platforms will be used by other projects, and BURT may be required to use them.

Project Community

What strategies are you using to build and maintain a strong community around your token?

Honesty, transparency, and hard work. I show up every day and work hard to take Burt to the next level. I keep my community informed and won't make any major decisions without their approval. 

How do you incorporate feedback from Kaspa and the community into your project's development?

Jump in the Burt Telegram for a chat. The community is amazing, and the chat is always active. I am transparent with everything that is happening with Burt. I always ask for feedback and community thoughts before making any major decisions.

How have community requests or suggestions influenced the project's direction? What are your long-term goals for the Burt project?

We are community-driven. The community decides everything. They make the decisions; I just pull the strings.  

Your project stands out with a storybook and theme song, which is quite unique. How have these creative elements strengthened your brand and community engagement?

We want Burt to be the face of Kaspa and for everyone to know the meme coin Burt on Kaspa. 

Narratives are important in crypto. Having a funny, enjoyable story gets people interested in who Burt is. The community has created the Burt songs, which have been added to the website. When looking to invest in a project, one of the first things you do is look at the website. We have one of the best websites of any meme coin. 

Your roadmap includes exciting developments like an NFT launch, the KAS ID program, and the KRC explorer. Could you walk us through these initiatives and explain their significance to your project's vision?

We are looking to bring everything successful from other chains to Kaspa. Naming services are huge on other chains. ENS domains have sold over 1 million assets and have a volume of over 96k ETH. KAS ID will be Kaspa's version of ENS Domains. 

Kaspa Community

How do you envision your project contributing to the Kaspa ecosystem?

KAS ID will be a must for everyone in Kaspa and will be a big step towards Burt being the face of Kaspa. We will continue to build and develop the platforms and tools needed for Kaspa. 

Kaspa is one big community. All KRC20 project founders constantly talk to each other and do what they can to help each other's projects and Kaspa as a whole.

Memes are great. They attract new crypto users and are fun. They also allow communities to participate actively in the project's growth. 

What will the BURT project look like a year from now? 

Burt will be the face of Kaspa, a multi hundred million if not billion dollar project, that’s our goal.
