Dr. Shai Wyborski Youtube Channel - The Deepdive
In addition to being active on X.com (formerly Twitter), Kaspa core researcher Dr. Shai Wyborski has been steadily building his YouTube channel, The Deepdive.

Make sure to subscribe to the channel to catch his videos, where he breaks down complex technical concepts in a fun, clear, and engaging way. Dr. Wyborski’s approachable style makes even the most advanced topics feel accessible, whether you’re a seasoned developer or simply curious about how Kaspa’s technology sets itself apart.
Currently, there are three full-length videos available, listed by recency:
What Can Kaspa Do That Other Ledgers Can't? Multi-leader consensus!
How high block rates decentralize mining (Kaspa Deepdive snippet)
The first two videos are short, straight to the point, and packed with valuable insights into Kaspa's unique architecture and mining decentralization strategy. The third video is in a longer format, where Dr. Wyborski shares his commentary and deeper technical reflections on a lecture about zero-knowledge proofs, providing viewers with a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into advanced cryptographic research.
Whether you're looking for quick technical overviews or a more detailed academic discussion, The Deepdive is shaping up to be a must-watch resource for anyone following Kaspa's evolution.

DaVinci Jeremie Calls for Kaspa
DaVinci Jeremie, one of the early Bitcoin advocates who famously encouraged people to buy Bitcoin when it was under $1, recently shared his thoughts on the broader crypto market—specifically mentioning Kaspa. DaVinci is known for his long-term vision and experience navigating multiple crypto cycles.

When it comes to Kaspa, DaVinci strikes a positive tone about its future. While he acknowledges that Kaspa might not hit 2 during this current cycle, he emphasizes that it still has strong growth potential in the long run.
"A lot of the famous altcoins are taking a big hit. They're not going higher. Why? It's because Bitcoin is where most of the money is going, and on top of that, there are millions and millions of cryptocurrencies out there. So, money is being dispersed amongst all the different cryptocurrencies. Kaspa is an example of one cryptocurrency that has seen better days. Will it go to maybe a dollar, even two dollars? Maybe not this cycle, but it will do well in the future. So yeah, you can invest in Kaspa, but remember, it won't do better than Bitcoin."
After DaVinci Jeremie shared his thoughts on Kaspa's long-term potential, the Kaspa community quickly jumped in with their own reactions. Here's a look at some of the positive reactions from the Kaspa community:

Dr. Wyborski’s Animation on 10 BPS
Dr. Shai Wyborski recently shared a new animated demonstration that dives into an important technical point: why increasing blocks per second (BPS) by ten times doesn’t necessarily mean confirmation times become ten times faster.
This animation brings to life a concept he originally explained in a post a few weeks ago, offering a clear visual breakdown for the community. If you’re curious to better understand how Kaspa’s network dynamics work beyond just raw speed, be sure to check it out (linked in the title).
Blockchain Banter X Spaces
On April 28, 2025 at 19:00 UTC, Kaspa core researcher Dr. Shai Wyborski, unofficial Kaspa Business Development and founder of KASmedia, Wolfie, Kaspa UK Ambassador Chris Hutchinson, Kaspa miner Christian Ludwig, @CryptoLandy, @WolfysBar, @TheRSD, and Gaurav participated on a panel on the Blockchain Banter X spaces, hosted by@LevendiPro. In the panel they discussed all things Kaspa, including how Kaspa works with quantum resilience. Dr. Wyborski gets very technical, and with all these Kaspa heavy hitters, this is a must-listen.
Chris Hutchinson to speak on Chart theCourse Podcast
Kaspa’s UK Ambassador, Rock the Kaspa host, and Crumpet Media founder, Chris Hutchinson will be on the Chart the Course podcast on Saturday, May 3 at 3pm EDT. Chart the Course is a podcast that dives into the cross between technology, politics, finance, and art. Be sure to tune in!
Kaspa Silver -Kaspa NG Now Supports The Crescendo Update | Wallet Setup Guide - YouTube
Kaspa Silver has released a new video where he walked through the Kaspa NG Crescendo update. Kaspa NG (Next Generation) is the new, streamlined version of Kaspa’s node software, designed to make syncing to the network faster, running a node easier, and managing your KAS coins more convenient. It features faster initial sync times, built-in wallet support, and smoother overall performance. With the recent Crescendo update (v1.0.0), Kaspa NG is even more stable and efficient, making it an important upgrade as Kaspa continues to grow.
Kaspa Silver explains how to download the latest version from the GitHub repository, extract the files, and set up the application. Check out his video if you need to update your Kaspa NG.
Crescendo Update
As of April 28, 2024, 65% of Kaspa Nodes are running the updated Crescendo 1.0.0 software. The Crescendo hard fork upgrade, set to occur on May 5, 2025, increases the Kaspa network from 1 BPS to 10 BPS, boosting transaction throughput, network capacity, and responsiveness with shorter block intervals.

This is a mandatory upgrade for Kaspa Node Operators, although Dr. Sompolinsky stated he would “phrase it more as a plea; miners can sovereign-ly decide to reject crescendo; checks and balances.”
Crescendo is set to activate on the mainnet at DAA Score 110,165,000, expected on May 5, 2025, around 15:00 UTC.
