It’s been an exciting week in the Kaspa ecosystem. Igra Labs’ L2 testnet revealed a prospective go-live date, while Kaspa announced plans to launch a node into space. The third Rusty Kaspa Workshop offered developers an in-depth introduction to the Kaspa codebase. Kaspa was also added to new exchanges, continued to top-speed benchmarks, and quietly expanded its grassroots K-Force marketing movement.

Don’t forget to set your automatic buy every Sunday! To celebrate the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, we’re also spotlighting a few new YouTube creators worth watching. And fittingly for this season of growth, Kaspa’s whale population is bigger than ever. Read on for all the highlights and details.

Igra Lab’s Caravel Testnet Save the Date

Igra Labs has announced the launch of its Caravel testnet, set to go live in mid-July 2025. Caravel marks a significant milestone in the development of the Igra Network—a programmable, EVM-compatible layer built on top of Kaspa's high-speed Layer 1. The project is designed to bring smart contract functionality to the Kaspa ecosystem without compromising its core strengths: speed, scalability, and decentralization.Of the launch, Igra Labs states:

"Caravel delivers decentralized infrastructure by releasing the node client, L1 → L2 canonical bridge, a protocol for lighter nodes, DAO governance, and forward compatibility with ZK execution clients."

This means that Caravel is designed to be more than just a smart contract layer—it introduces a full stack of tools and protocols to enable decentralized governance, cross-layer interoperability, and future-proof architecture aligned with zero-knowledge execution.

Community anticipation is high, especially as Caravel is expected to bridge the gap between Ethereum-based developer tooling and Kaspa's DAG-based architecture. With familiar EVM support, developers will be able to deploy decentralized applications with ease, opening the door for experimentation and adoption within the Kaspa ecosystem. As the testnet launch approaches, Caravel is being watched closely as a key enabler of a more programmable and decentralized future for Kaspa.

Rusty Kaspa Workshop #3

On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, core developer Michael Sutton and renowned crypto programmer Hans Moog co-hosted the third Rusty Kaspa Workshop on the Kaspa Discord. The two-hour session offered a detailed walkthrough of the Kaspa codebase, beginning with an in-depth discussion of pruning logic.

Participants were guided through the code line by line, accompanied by live drawings that illustrated Kaspa’s unique BlockDAG structure. The workshop also introduced various non-critical optimization tasks—ideal for newcomers interested in contributing to the network's development.

In the segment on pruning, Sutton and Moog explored multi-level relations, the challenges of pruning a DAG-based structure, and Kaspa’s header-compression scheme. These workshops are valuable resources for developers looking to build on Kaspa, especially those new to the ecosystem.

Kaspa is Going to the Moon

The Kaspa Orbital Node Initiative (KONI), launched by Kaspa Kii, is a bold new step toward extreme decentralization—Kaspa is launching a node into space! The mission involves sending a hardened, compact Kaspa node aboard a CubeSat into low Earth orbit (LEO), approximately 550 km above the Earth's surface. This space-based node will passively validate blocks from orbit, serving as a powerful symbol of cryptographic neutrality and resilience beyond Earth's borders.

Utilizing open-source ground networks, such as SatNOGS, KONI is designed to be fully open-source and community-driven. The initiative not only highlights what is possible with Kaspa's lightweight, scalable architecture but also lays the foundation for building one of the most resilient blockchain networks ever envisioned. Hardware prototyping is next, with a targeted launch window in 2026 and a planned mission duration of over 24 months. The KONI team is currently welcoming collaborators and partners from across the Kaspa community to help bring this groundbreaking vision to life. To the moon!

XXIM Podcast with Kurncy

In the latest episode of the XXIM Podcast, host Ankit sits down with Felix from Kurncy, a trailblazing project with an ambitious mission: to make KAS accessible at physical currency exchange booths around the world. Felix outlines the vision, current progress, and roadmap to integrate Kaspa into the everyday fiat-to-crypto ecosystem, empowering users in regions overlooked by major centralized exchanges. The Key takeaways are as follows:

  • Global expansion plan: Kurncy is targeting currency exchange kiosks to reduce friction for users seeking to buy or sell KAS with local currencies.

  • Financial inclusion: By integrating at in-person exchange points, Kurncy aims to reach users in regions with limited access to digital banking or crypto platforms.

  • Win-win for Kaspa: Onboarding new users globally helps grow KAS adoption while showcasing Kaspa’s fast, low-fee network as a practical medium of exchange.

If you’re excited about broader adoption, financial access, and real-world utility, this episode is a must-listen. It’s not just vision—it’s a tangible step toward making Kaspa truly global. Check out the video podcast here.

KAS on International Exchanges

Kaspa (KAS) continues to expand its global presence with several new exchange listings. It was recently added to NovaDAX, a prominent Brazilian cryptocurrency exchange, further strengthening Kaspa's reach in Latin America. In Europe, ANYCOIN, the largest crypto exchange in the Czech Republic, has also listed KAS. Meanwhile, KuCoin, a major international platform, has introduced a new KAS/USDC trading pair.

Crypto Odie Speed Tests

One of our favorite YouTubers, Crypto Odie, is back this week with another round of speed test showdowns—and once again, Kaspa proves why it's the fastest proof-of-work blockchain out there.

In a rematch between Kaspa vs. NANO using the Natrium NANO Wallet, Kaspa narrowly maintained the lead with a 2-second transaction. At the same time, NANO lagged slightly behind at 3.22 seconds—one of the closer races we've seen so far.

Next up was Kaspa vs. Bitcoin Cash, and this one wasn't even close. The BCH transaction took nearly four times longer to complete than Kaspa's near-instant speed.

And finally, the classic matchup: Kaspa vs. Bitcoin. As expected, Kaspa blew BTC out of the water, completing a transaction in 2 seconds, compared to over 3.5 minutes for Bitcoin.

If you're looking for quick, compelling proof of Kaspa's performance, Crypto Odie's videos are must-watch—and perfect for sharing with friends who are curious about real-world blockchain speed.

Mitchell Lim Explains that Kaspa is in the Pre-Hype Stage

Bitcoin and Kaspa investor Mitchell Lim delivers a clear and passionate message in his latest video: we're still early in Kaspa. He compares the project's current low-profile status to Bitcoin in its early days, pointing to the lack of mainstream coverage, major exchange listings, and general hype as signs of a rare window of opportunity.

Mitchell highlights how a whale wallet, which now holds over 751 million KAS, serves as a key indicator of behind-the-scenes accumulation. While the owner is unknown, Mitchell suspects it may be an exchange preparing for future demand. Either way, he says the activity shows that big players recognize Kaspa's long-term value—and that retail investors should pay attention.

In his view, the silence surrounding Kaspa is bullish, and he believes the project could one day break into the top 10 or even the top 3 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.

Mitchell's videos consistently offer grounded, early-stage analysis of Kaspa's trajectory. For anyone looking to stay informed and ahead of the curve, his channel is worth following.

Kaspa Wojak

Another standout Kaspa-focused YouTube channel is Kaspa Wojak, known for frequent and engaging content centered on the Kaspa ecosystem. This week, in addition to speculative videos on Kaspa's future, the channel posted a thought-provoking piece exploring potential ties between Kaspa and BlackRock. Kaspa Wojak highlights that BlackRock is the largest shareholder in Marathon Digital Holdings (MARA)—a publicly traded company that exclusively mines Bitcoin and Kaspa. He suggests that such a strategic move by Marathon is unlikely to happen without some level of approval or alignment from BlackRock leadership.

The channel also released a separate video exploring the topic of stablecoins on Kaspa, continuing its trend of providing timely and relevant coverage. With new videos released almost daily, Kaspa Wojak is a valuable resource for staying up-to-date on the latest discussions and theories surrounding the Kaspa network.

Kat Daddy Krypto

If you're looking for a fun and consistent Kaspa channel with over 5.6K subscribers, Kat Daddy Krypto is one to watch. He is known for his upbeat style and community-driven live streams, especially the fan-favorite "Happy Hour with Kat" sessions. He regularly posts content focused on all things Kaspa.

This week, in addition to his livestreams, Kat shared a compelling video exploring the future of stablecoins on Kaspa. Drawing comparisons to Tron, which currently handles an impressive $20 billion in daily stablecoin transactions (as of May 2025), he highlights how Tron has succeeded by offering "scale, speed, and efficiency." Kat argues that Kaspa could eventually match or even surpass Tron in this space, thanks to its ultra-fast block times and scalable architecture.

If you're curious about how Kaspa could position itself in the future of digital finance—or just want to enjoy an engaging and informative stream—check out Kat Daddy Krypto's latest content, and don't miss his next Happy Hour live!

The Money and I Channel

While Lewis from The Money and I channel covers a range of cryptocurrency projects, he consistently produces thoughtful, Kaspa-focused content. In his latest video, titled "Kaspa: They're selling! Should you? Here's What Happens Next," Lewis reaffirms his strong conviction that Kaspa is a must-hold asset. Reflecting on past investment missteps, he shares how those experiences taught him the importance of thorough research and how that process ultimately led him to believe in Kaspa's long-term potential.

The video is both informative and motivating. "You just have to have patience," he reminds viewers. "No one makes money overnight." He ends with an emphatic takeaway: "To answer the question whether or not you think, or I think, you can make life-changing returns on Kaspa? The answer is ab-sol-utely! Do your own research, though."
